On first lighting, keep your candle lit until the melted wax covers the full surface of the container, usually between 2 and 4 hours depending on the size of the container. If it’s a mini candle it may be just an hour or so. When the surface is covered with melted wax (or close to), extinguish the flame, this will help prevent tunnelling. You will still enjoy the lovely scent for some time to come after you’ve blown-out the candle.

Once the candle has reset relight whenever you next wish to. Always extinguish the flame when there is a full wax pool, this will ensure that the wick stays nicely in place; too much melted wax will make the wick unstable so don’t allow the wax pool to get more than a few mm deep. Trim the wick to 5mm before you relight the candle if needs be, to help the candle burn more slowly.

Read candle safety sticker carefully, on base of candle. Candles at their very best within 6 months of purchase.
