Looking after your candle

Just a few little things to tell you about looking after your candle...

Always burn candles within sight, keep them away from drafts and vibrations, keep out of reach of children and pets and never burn near anything that can catch fire.

Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting, keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings, only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface and don't burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

90g tins and 120g amber jars.

On first lighting, keep your candle lit until the melted wax covers as much of the full surface of the container as possible; this will prevent a dipped effect forming in the wax.  Short burn times also encourage tunnelling, so it is best to continue to burn your candle for longer periods if possible (3 hours is good – no more than 4 hours at a time).

180g tins and amber jars

Whilst it might not be possible to achieve a full melt pool on the first burn, please burn for 4 hours on the first lighting and avoid short burn times there after.

50g amber jars

You wont need to burn these little candles for too long - maybe just an hour at a time. Make sure you blow the candle out when you have a full wax pool.

And of course, please enjoy your candle!
